Our Food Business Boot Camp walks you through everything you need to launch your food business in Houston. You will not leave with more questions, but with tangible results!
During the first hour of Boot Camp we will walk you through obtaining government licenses and permits that are essential to your business including:
- Selecting a business structure and entity formation - should you incorporate or form a partnership? How?
- City of Houston Permits for a new business and specific to food businesses
- State of Texas Licenses
- Federal level requirements
We will devote the next two hours to essential business processes and solidifying your business concept, covering each of the following topics:
- Creating a mission statement
- Identifying your target market
- SWOT Analysis - an essential component of any business plan, analyzing your position in the competitive marketplace
- Tools to establish your business presence online for FREE
Sound like a lot to accomplish in four hours? It is, that's why we call it Boot Camp! Don't worry, we will guide you through every step of the process. You are welcome to bring your own laptop to go at your own pace and provided course materials will help you finish anything you would like to take more time with at home.
A light dinner will be served at the onset of Boot Camp to help keep everyone focused and give guests a preview of some of the excellent foods prepared in our kitchens by young culinary entrepreneurs!
