Our mission is to help culinary entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses with lower risks in a healthy environment. A diverse array of products can be made in our three kitchens, from breads to prepared meals. Whether you want to run a catering company or a boutique candy shop, we can accommodate you. When you rent at Kitchen Inc, you reserve an individual kitchen that is for your use alone, not a large shared space for mixed use. You also gain access to our shared prep and storage areas, with an array of additional equipment.
Kitchen Inc provides two fully equipped kitchens for individual use along with shared prep and storage areas.
The Standard Kitchen
For all basic cooking needs including catering, as well as teaching and demonstrations with seating for events.
The Bakery
Ovens, large mixers, proofer and wood top vintage baker's table for all your baking and pastry needs.

General requirements for all businesses
Single event renters who will not be producing food for sale may waive the following requirements.

A signed copy of the Licensing Agreement & Policy Guidebook

Proof of liability insurance of at least $1 million with Kitchen Incubator LLC listed as additional insured

A copy of a City of Houston Food Service Manager's Certificate (email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to request our test prep kit for $35)

A full refundable security deposit of $250 (cash or check only) and valid credit card on file
Upon receipt of the above documents, Kitchen Inc will issue a Statement of Approval for your business, providing your unique reservation code with detailed instructions on how to begin using our kitchens.
Amenities
Each kitchen includes stainless steel worktables, waste bins, floor mats and shelves to make the production environment comfortable and efficient. We also provide a variety of shared equipment such as a microwave and deli slicer in addition to the equipment included in your individual kitchen rental.
Additional amenities include:
- Scullery with dish washing sink, prep sink and dish rack
- Community storage in our walk-in cooler, freezer or dry storage area with reserved shelves and secure bins available for monthly rent
- Loading and receiving area with ramp and cart
- Shipping/receiving services for a low fee or join our community supply orders from major food distributors
- High-speed wireless throughout the Facility
Getting started in our kitchens is an easy process, with registration and reservations all done from the comfort of your own computer, 24 hours a day.
Reservations
All reservations are made through our website. The calendar contains the most current information and ensures that space is efficiently and accurately booked. Please note that no reservations will ever be made over the phone or via e-mail. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. Only Contract Clients may secure kitchen space beyond this window.
Contract Clients
Clients with consistent business needs may sign a contract with Kitchen Inc in order to guarantee kitchen time ahead of the 60 day window and receive our lowest rates. In order to apply for the Contract Client Program your business must rent a minimum of 40 hours monthly and have an existing working relationship wit KI for at least six weeks.
